Karingal Training is a Registered Training Organisation specialising in a wide variety of training in the Community Services and Employment Service industries as well as a range of vocational short courses.
Karingal Training is a branch of Karingal, a community organisation with over 55 years experience in the community service industry. Karingal provides a range of disability and aged care services as well as mainstream employment programs.
These include community and day programs, supported accommodation, Australian Disability Enterprises (Business Services), Job Services Australia programs, Disability Employment Services, respite support, residential aged care, adult training and education, independent living support, mental health home based outreach, Personal Helpers and Mentors Program and case management services.
What we do
At Karingal Training we have utilised our experience to develop a range of training specific to the community and employment services sectors – both short course and accredited training. All training is delivered by trainers qualified and experienced in the field being delivered. Whether you are sourcing training for your organisation or staff; for yourself or for your clients, Karingal Training can put together a training plan which meets your needs.
Our fully trained assessors can also assist organisations to determine the competency of their staff and map their skills to vocational education and qualifications. If there is a training need identified our staff will assist you to develop a training plan which will meet your business needs.
As practitioners in the community service industry, Karingal has an understanding of the importance of making training accessible to people from all backgrounds and abilities. We pride ourselves on our ability to customise training to suit participants, whilst still maintaining the integrity of the program.
Our training
Our accredited training includes a wide range of qualifications in home and community care, disability work, aged care and mental health. Accredited training can be delivered either as a full course, or specific Units of Competency packaged together to meet your needs.
Qualifications
Our short courses and workshops include vocational training for job seekers, first aid, medication, mental health first aid and introduction to disability. We can also work with organisations to develop short courses or workshops that are customised to your needs.
Short courses
We also specialise in the delivery of induction packages and entry level training to new staff working in Disability programs, including Disability Employment Services. This training can be tailored to suit your needs.
Training locations
Depending on your requirements Karingal Training can deliver training on-site, via flexible delivery or you can join a public workshop. Our premises for on-site training include a range of locations in Geelong, the Western suburbs of Melbourne, Werribee, Bacchus Marsh, Colac and Warrnambool.
Information Sessions
We hold regular Information Sessions for participants about our accredited training. Please contact us to express interest in a course or to find out when our next Information Session about a particular qualification is scheduled (bookings for these sessions are essential).
